Hello when I plug in my controller the screen just repeatedly blinks and wont allow me to do anything.

Have you tried resetting the controller?
1. Unplug the controller from power
2. Press and hold the center dial and connect the controller back to power. This will allow you to access the System Setup screen.
3. Rotate the dial to Option 2 "Reset"
