I just purchased the icv6 but I need to update my advance controller to newer firmware. Is there anyway to download and update the firmware without a windows computer. I have a Mac but don’t want/know how to run it with windows program. I have a samsung tablet. I downloaded the update to my 32gd sd card from tablet but I know I’m doing something wrong cause when I put it in controller to try to update nothing happens. Thanks for any help.

Did you format the card as specified on the Maxspect website?

Also, there is no way to format it with a Mac. You have to use Windows.

I got the recommended sd card hoping that it would be preformatted. I only have a Mac and a samsung tablet. Is there any way around this? Maybe an app on the tablet?

The only way to use a Mac is if you are running Windows on the Mac. Otherwise, you cannot do it on a Mac.

Yeah that’s what I didn’t want to hear. I didn’t want to install windows on my Mac just for this update.

Most folks have a friend or neighbor that has a Windows computer. That's probably the first thing I would suggest.

In order for the icv6 to work the advance controller needs to be running the newest update correct. I think I’m still in 1.7

Yes, the Advanced Controller must be running on 2.0 or higher to connect to the ICV6. After that, the ICV6 updates the firmware wirelessly.
