I just installed Gyre 250 pump with the IceCap interface with IceCap battery backup to Apex Fusion. When I go into feed mode with the Apex the battery backup keeps the Gyre 250 running because the power is shut off. Is there a setting somewhere in Apex to tell the pump to stop. Once i take the battery backup out of equation the system works like I had programmed the sequence to work.

No, unfortunately there is no way to do that if you are just connecting the native controller to the APEX since the way the APEX works is by turning the power OFF. Unfortunately there is no way for the pump controller to know if the OFF is because the user turned OFF the outlet or it is a power outage.
IF you want to use the gyre with the APEX and a backup battery, you will need to connect the gyre to the APEX using the IceCap Gyre Interface and the variable port on your APEX.
