I purchased a FX250 for my WaterBox 130 (4x2x2) (with an L1 return pump)) with the hope of using it to generate enough internal flow. It produced to much flow and I had to take it out. Before doing so, I adjusted the speed down to it's lowest (20%) but it was still too strong. Tore the tissue right off my SPS.
I just watched your alternating flow video and wondering if that is something I can do/use to reduce the flow rate in my mixed reef tank?
Thank you for your time, suggestions, and word of wisdom.
Best,
Aaron

You can but it all depends on your tank and the landscaping. The only way to truly know if it will work is to run the pump in that configuration.

Okay I'll give it a go. Otherwise, I was wondering if I could put a "cover" to defuse some of the water.
Thank you!
