Will the neck extension allow for an xp2000 SSS sit in deeper water in the sump? What size tank could the xp2000 handle and how much more could it handle with the extension? Which extension would fit the xp2000 SSS?

The neck extension may allow for one to run the skimmer in deeper water but is not what the accessory is intended for. The purpose of the extension is for those that want to obtain a drier collection than what they currently can obtain and add extra dwell time within the neck area. This is very important for those that use biopellet or other carbon dosing media in which adds more demand to the skimmer. Because the neck extension will not allow the skimmer to process more water it really can't add to its filtering capabilities but will allow the skimmer to more efficiently skim aquariums within its range more efficiently.
