No instruction manual included. Producing large amounts of micro bubbles into water column which ends up in the display tank. What is the correct way to break the unit in? What power level should it be at? how should I regulate the return, open or closed ?

How old is the skimmer? The break-in period is 3 weeks in which time micro bubbles and erratic behavior is normal. We recommend you turn the skimmer pump all the way up and open the valve all the way and let the skimmer be. On the 3rd week of running, you can start to close down the valve and dial in the skimmer.

The skimmer is brand new. Installed it 2 days ago. I appreciate the quick reply. Is it normal for these skimmers to come without an instruction manual?

Also what should the water level be? It’s currently at 8.5 in of water.

The correct water height is 7-8.5 inches. We recommend you start at 7 and only go up if you have to.

Is this water level recommendation for the regal 300-int still valid? I got this skimmer a year ago and the paperwork that came with it says 7.9-9.8” of water
