I am running a reef octo extreme xs200 and just bought a new bubble blaster 3000 for it. In essence this should convert the skimmer to almost a sro xp3000. My question is, my xs200 runs at 8" and does great, but the sro xp3000 recommends running it at 6"-6.5", should I lower the level in my sump to 6" or stay at 8" for a starting point?

You will likely require a lower water level of 6.5-7in.

Sounds good. I'll lower the sliding baffle to 6.5, and go from there. Thanks!
