I have two 250s on my 200 gallon less than a year old. One of them has a rotor and bushing that are loose and moving. There is no resistance which way the guards move and the one side just moves everywhere. I can reach into the tank and move the one rotor guard anway I wish. I have taken the entire unit apart and it has been reassembled correctly and the loose rotor cage still slips and the unit is unacceptably loud.

This is the 4th gyre I have owned and I have not run I to this problem. I am hoping it's a quick fix.

Thanks felix.

Yes, most likely the bushing or the propeller is stripped. I would recommend swapping the stripped propeller and bushing with one of the spare propellers and bushings found inside the black tin box. Just make sure you are swapping the same letter propeller or you will have flow issues with the pump.
