Recently purchased a reef octopus skimmer. Did not include directions on how to put together. Just a question regarding the motor base plate, is it supposed to lock into the frame of the skimmer or just set it into the hole at the bottom with no mounts.

What model do you have? Our skimmers include an assembly diagram that shows you how the pump is attached to the skimmer.
