I have a BH1000 skimmer. I bought it in October or November.

When I first hooked it up, I noticed a very very slow drip near the pump, but I didn't think much of it. I thought salt would eventually seal it up.

I had to remove the skimmer today to clean the intake. When I had better access, I noticed there's actually a plastic piece that is broken where the leak is. The leak has also gotten a bit worse.

Attached is a picture of the part. It looks like a part that holds the impeller in place. It has two tabs on it, that hold it on when you twist the ring in place. One of the two plastic tabs broke. This tab is circled in red in the picture.

I don't see any place on the parts site to order this part. Is it possible to get a replacement?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,

Well, that's silly. Didn't realize this question was going to be open to the public. Can we remove my contact information? I can't edit the post.

Is the crack on the pump housing or the volute? It is a little hard to tell on the picture, it is kind of blurry.

The pump housing itself is ok. That has two tabs that the ring rotates to attach to, and both of those tabs are okay. It's on the ring itself that one of the tabs is broken.

The ring I'm talking about is the gray piece that is between the pump, and the black piece of pipe. If I recall from the initial assembly, this ring is just on the pump to retain the impeller inside. It's just this ring that is broken.

I'm not sure if this is called the volute.

Got it. Please start go ahead and submit a ticket and be sure to fill out all information. Please be sure to include the pump's model and serial number plus attach proof of purchase.
