Hi I bought a reef octopus classic 200 and I find the aq3000s skimmer pump a little loud and its in my room. What replacement skimmer pump would you recommend so that my skimmer will be silent. Thanks

The Aquatrance is a fairly silent pump. Is the noise you referring to a vibration sound, or air suction?

Hi jeremy yes it coming from the air suction. And the pump itself has a slight hum.

Anytime you upgrade to a DC pump, it will substantially quiet down. All DC pumps run smoother than any AC pump so upgrading to the RODC3500S would quiet things down.
