Did you license the XF100 series or the XF200 series pump?

I don't know if you're selling the previous generation of the Gyre or the newest generation of it. The controller is clearly the updated 2nd gen gyre, but the pump itself was the part that had a ton of issues -- Not the controller.

I am sorry but I don't follow your question. Can you please rephrase?

The IceCap Gyre 3k looks like the Maxspect gyre because IceCap leased the license. There are two generations of Maxspect Gyre, the XF100 series (XF130, XF150) and the XF200 series (XF230, XF250, XF280).

Which one of the two versions did IceCap lease? The 100 series, or the new redesigned 200 series. Thanks!

The 3K is a different style Gyre pump than the 100 or 200 series gyre. The only thing that is similar is the flow it creates and use the same controller and functions.

Excellent, thank you! I'm asking as I was *just* going to buy a Gyre, but this actually suits my purpose better.

I'd also like to know if the 3K has easily purchased replacement parts. Looking through old threads there are people with buckets of Gen 1 Gyre parts. Great technology, Gen 2 is vastly superior in cleaning and maintenance. Many users of the Gen 1 complained that once taken apart to clean, it would never run the same.

The 3K is a little easier to take apart. It is a different design than the Maxspect Gyre. Remember, the 3K is made by Icecap and the Gyre is by Maxspect... two different companies.

Yes Carlos, which is exactly why I was asking which generation that IceCap licensed from Maxspect -- I wasn't sure if it was going to be -similar- or a 100% identical clone.

Now I know that it's a different design with a familiar look, I'm guessing it will turn out more reliable parts-wise.
