Wanted to get some advice.....I have a 100g DT running the bean animal overflow (1.5" drains) into a 40g breeder sump that sits under a 42" stand.
I'm currently running a WB-HY 5000 for my return (2x)3/4" as well as a manifold supplying 2 BRS reactors (gac/gfo) and the fuge section in my sump.
I have a separate pump running a 1/4hp chiller and wanted to eliminate it all together and tie the chiller into the manifold and up my flow some.
Would the water blaster HY 1000 overkill?

Depends on the required flow for the chiller the head pressure of your manifold and plumbing. You would likely be safer with the 10000 and valve it down or run a bleed line off the manifold than go with the 7000 and not have enough.
