Most likely the bushings are not installed correctly. The rugged propellers come with the bushings already installed. At the end of the propeller (motor side) there is a clear cap bushing installed. Please remove the bushing from both propellers. Now you can take the bushings and install them on the motor block. Make sure that the flat side of the shaft matches the inner flat side of the bushing. When inserting the shaft to the bushing, make sure that the shaft goes all the way through the bushing until the shaft almost comes out on the other end. If the shaft is only half way in (which is what I suspect the issue is) you will get a red light error.
I am attaching a picture so you can see exactly what I am referring to.
Once you have correctly installed the transparent bushing, then you can go ahead and attach the rest of the propellers and cages and run the pump.
Ok, then try swapping the propeller with the one spare set that came with your gyre. If side B runs but side A does not, then the issue is not the motor block but most likely the propeller.

Turned on out of water to try and see which side was “A” and both sides spin. Could it be a firmware issue?

Carlos please advise. Why do both sides spin but shows off on controller?

No, if the sides spin out of the water but not in the water, then the issue is the propeller itself and not the motor.

I swapped both props. Same thing is happening. What’s next?

Did you also swap the bushings? Again, there is no reason why one side of the motor works and the other does not. It is the same shaft that runs from side to side.

It’s deceiving when you have 1 powerhead. It shows A and B. “A” turns on, then shuts off after a few seconds. Apparently “A” was the other connection that didn’t have a pump attached.

Ahhh, you were referring to the controller and not the pump itself. I apologize, I thought you were referring to the pump itself and the two sides. Yes, if there is no pump attached to the controller terminal, it will automatically show it as OFF.
