I own the above skimmer and have for 2 months now. I purchased another version of this over a year ago and it looks different but functions great. So I bought another one.
This one overflows for a month now, no matter if it's in 4" of water or 7". I can't skim anything when it's like this. I did notice that the stand pipe for the outflow is shorter, could that be causing my issue?

How old is the tank? Are you adding anything to the water? Red slime remover, bacterial startup, algaecide, medication, stress remover or water conditioner and/or dechlorinator for water changes?
