When I put the gyre into alternating flow it works properly in forward flow, swittches to reverse flow for about 10-15 seconds then stops and a red blinking light starts. Any help with this? It only stalls in alternating mode while on reverse. Also when programming the reverse flow in alternating mode the controller dots only move in a counterclockwise direction for the speed setting??? Is this correct or should the also increase flow in a clockwise direction like setting the forward flow ?? Thanks.

What speed are you running the reverse mode? During break-in, please try to run the gyre at 40% or more. Once the pump is broken in and bacteria has covered all surfaces to reduce friction, you should be able to bring the speed down.

It's been running in pulse mode now at 50% for 2 weeks and alternating mode still doesn't work properly. It runs in the initial direction then it runs for about ten seconds in the alternate direction, stops, red light blinks until that cycle ends, then the pump runs in its initial direction with no problem....repeat.
