Hi! I am planning to buy a bh1000 and i have a custom tank with a 2.3" lip around the tank.
Would there be enought room for the intake and outflow pipe going to the tank? Or do i have to extend the elbow pipes to make some clearance for the pipes? Please refer to the attched photo.

All hang on back skimmers are not compatible with tank with large lips around. Modifying the intake would also compromise the efficiency of the skimmer unfortunately. While the pump would be able to pull water, you may experience issue with priming. Due to the added length of the intake, the skimmer may not be able to restart after a power outage unless you manually pour water into the skimmer to help it start.
