I need someone who knows your products very well, in that I have a size limitation. I have on old octopus that has a base plate on it and its too wide to fit in my limited sump size....even after trimming the base back. I only have a 1ft clearance side to side and probably 13" the other way.
I would use my current skimmer but, no one can seem to direct me to the size of the connectors on it so I can move the motor to another area of the sump...... that is what my problem is with my older one...the motor makes the unit just about 1" too wide connect to the base of the unit.

The skimmer pump must be mounted directly to the skimmer body. I would look at the following skimmer for your system. http://www.coralvue.com/classic-150sss-protein-skimmer-397
