Skimmer pumps are not measured in flow rate. The skimmer pumps are measured in SCFH which is air intake. You cannot take a water pump flow rate and apply it to a skimmer pump because the water pump uses a propeller while the skimmer pump uses a pinwheel. Skimmer pumps and water pumps are completely different. The days of just taking a regular water pump and replacing the propeller with a pinwheel is no longer done by companies. Companies have figured out that when you do that, the pumps do not run at optimal speed and are in fact inefficient. Therefore, a pump was actually developed to work optimally with a pinwheel impeller which uses less drag as it is not meant to move water but instead, inject air into the water column.
