DCS Pumps

I own two of the dcs pumps. One on a current skimmer and one as a return. I was also thinking about buying a third dcs pump but have seen that they are retired already according to your site which makes me feel I have bought into the wrong bunch of pumps. I am wondering why and/or is there going to be a replacement for these if I ever need to swap mine out. I upgraded my sro 3000 to the dcs 5500 and it finally now performs as good as my beckett skimmer but am a little confused as why they are going away now. Good thing I kept my beckett apparently.
