I'm under the impression that this should be something that Maxspect should cover. Even though it's beyond the warranty period I've read in several forums that maxspect apologized that was an error in the component used (inductor material).
Here's one example where the part was replaced beyond warranty, even including the LED pucks, which I'm not asking for...

It's not a monetary issue, it's the principal. I have no issue with replacing the components myself, even just replacing the faulty inductor
