Today, I bought a DC-5500 water pump fron Reef Octopus and according to your website, I was planing to install the pump outside the water (to replace my old external pump).
But in the small Reef Octopus documentation, they said that this pump SHALL always be used when completely submerged in water!!!
So, can I use it safetly externally (not submerged as specified in the pump documentation) ???

Sorry for the confusion. The DC-5500 pump can be used safelty externally. The only DC that cant is the DC-3500 which is submerged applications only.
