I have it set up so it’s supposed to have pump A to ramp up for 1 minute to 40% for 5 minutes and ramp down for 1 minute to and from 0%. Pump B is set up for alternate of Pump A.

The pumps are not ramping up and down gradually for 1 minute. It goes from 0% straight to the desired 40% while the opposite drops instantly to 0% not with the 1 minute ramp up or down I want.

Unit is updated.

What flow mode do you have set?

Pump “A” alternating gyre
Pump “B” anti synchronized

Can you take a picture of your controller display so I can see what you have configured please?

May I ask why are you running it in Alternating Gyre Mode when you have the reverse speed set to 0%? You are using the flow mode in a way that was not intended to do. If you are doing that, then you are better off just running the pump in regular pulsing mode and then antisync. That will do the same thing you are trying to do but in a less complicated and more predictable manner.

Because if is anything less than 0 there will be a pause in the flow at 0%. Ex: Pump A is at 40% and Pump B is at -40% set to 1 minute ramp up and down. At 30 seconds they will both be at 0%. Not what I want in a high flow sps tank.

What I want is the flow to push back and forth every 5 minutes causing the turbulence to push down from one side of the tank to the other then to have a gyre change in direction every 5 minutes.

The pulse mode has a 10 second max in a single direction. Nowhere near to the 5 min option the alternating gyre offers. 10 seconds is not enough time to start a gyre and to push the surface scum to the overflows before the opposite side gyre pushes it away.

The 0% is what is throwing off the program and causing the issue. Set the reverse speed to 20% on both and that should get it to do what you want.

As pump A is ramping down pump B stays at -20%. Once Pump A gets to 0% Pump B goes straight to 0% and they both stay at 0% for a short amount of time. This puts me in the same original problem I was having.

You cannot antisync 0%. When it comes to programming, there is no opposite to 0. If the pump is not doing anything there is no opposite.

All I want is a gyre that goes back and forth and overlaps as they are ramping up and down. Like in pulse mode except longer than the 10 seconds maximum it will allow. Is there a way that this advanced controller can do that?

No unfortunately that wont be possible with the Advanced Controller. You would need something like the IceCap Interface Module and run the pumps from an APEX controller.
