Hi, I am writing to you because I need to upgrade my old recirculating skimmer model CV-OCT-DNW-150. I would like to put a DC needle pump on it, buy I understand that Diablo DC 5300s are for internal use only. What kind of pump would you recommend? My tank is 140G reef.

It will require a new plumbing kit but will provide greater performance than the OTP 2000. We do plan to have a smaller RO-DC pump and I believe it will be capable of running externally. More info on these new DC pumps will be available after Reef Octopus returns from Interzoo.
