Thanks Carlos. I believe you are right. Obviously, the bubble plate can only be removed from the bottom of the skimmer (cone shape) and the bottom most plate seems to be glued in place. I'm afraid to pull too hard on this plate for fear of breaking the skimmer, however, on their web-site, listed under "features" for this skimmer, it reads, "Removable Bubble Plate"?

I am sorry about that. I went ahead and removed it from the site. They may have left that when they created the product page.
