My sump compartment is 11" x 11.5" x 15". Will the new DC powered Reef Octopus skimmers be compatible with this footprint? What is the smallest version offered using future DC pump?
I currently have no skimmer as I'm setting up a new tank. Should I buy the Classic 160 Protein Skimmer which has a footprint of 8.3" x 8.3" or wait until the new DC pumps come out? Can I swap the Aquatrance 2000s pinwheel pump with a DC pump or will I need a entire new skimmer?

As of now, the only skimmers with the new DC pumps that will remain the same, except for the pump, are the POV-DC skimmers. Specs for the other skimmers are still being finalized.
