Having trouble connecting Hy-2000s to reef octopus nwb-150

I purchased a HY-2000s bubble blaster pump to replace my OTP-2000 pump that died for my NWB-150 skimmer. I purchased to 10$ nwb-150 adapter piece. I see no way that i can connect the new pump to my skimmer, and the pieces came with no instructions. Here's a picture of the pieces Im working with.

You have to unscrew the volute cover, rotate it 180 degrees and then screw it back in. That should allow you to install the pump on that skimmer.

The Bubble Blaster volute's output comes with a charcoal adapter that is installed from factory. You will have to remove that adapter. To do so, you may need a clamp and a towel or something to grip it and turn to remove. They are installed by a machine so they are tight but they do come off.

Once you remove that factory adapter, you will be able to install the one we sent you and make it work.
