Hello, I have an octopus extreme 200 and my pump just failed . Can you tell me what pump options I have or what you would recommend I have a 220G mixed reef with a 75G sump. Not sure I can swing the cost of a bubble blaster so I was hoping I had other options?
Thank you for your time

You can use a Bubble Blaster 3000 or the Sicce 1000 both requiring an adapter to mount to the existing skimmer body.

Can you tell me which adapter I will need to fit a bubble blaster 3000 to an original model octopus extreme 200?

Sorry for the delay. You would need to make sure to select the Diablo XS200 adapter.

Hi guys I ended up purchasing a psk-1000 for now until the new skimmers come out . However I think I may be having an issue with the psk . I have it dialed in and runs great .. Then randomly the pump starts pulling in major air and overflows the skimmer . It only lasts for appx 30 seconds then goes back to the original water and foam level?
Thoughts in what could be causing this ?

You should dial it down then so the skimmer does not overflow. Are you doing something in the tank right before the skimmer overflows?

No changed to the tank at all . I was sitting next to the tank and I could hear the skimmer chance in vacuum noise . So I sat and watched it . It actually gets super efficient at foaming or like the pump kicks into high gear .
It happens appx every 20-40 min

Is the skimmer sitting in a location where the water level is not affected by evap?

When the skimmer is at it's highest, that is when you should be dialing it. I am also guessing that since your skimmer was offline for a little while, then it will need go through a small break-in period.
