I have just replaced my xf-250 gyre with an xf-230 model with its own controler (still using the xf-250 power supply). The unit is running for almost a week now and the humming/whistling noise is getting worse every day. The xf-250 was super quiet compared to the one I currently have. I have read that the noise may go away after "break-in" period but the noise is unbearable and the wife is not happy at all.
Please help!!

I bought the unit from Amazon (seller:SaltwaterAquarium). The unit was sent to a forwarding company in the US then sent to my home in Saudi Arabia. I really hope the unit is not defective because the shipping cost for returns would cost almost as a new unit...
