hi what is the outlet size of the water blaster hy12500-i see 1" and 1" 1/4.i have a hy10000 now and want to upgrade.i have 1" pvc coming out of the hy10000 now and want to keep using 1" with the 12500 pump hopefully just a matter of screwing onto the 12500 from the 10000 with no plumbing issues or upsizing pvc plumbing.

thanks mike

Sorry the outlet is larger(1.25") on the 12500 to handle the extra volume of water. Reducing the outlet will drop down performance due to added head pressure. If possible run 1.25" plumbing as much as you can then downsize to 1" will help retain some performance.

jeremey how much do you lose by reducing, right now i am running the hy10000 to supply two tanks a 120 and a 210 gallon. i am coming off the hy 10000 with 1" pvc and reducing down to 3/4,im not running up that high but flow seems low to the 210 being its farther away,if i run 1" inch pvc as long as i can your saying i will get better flow, will i see huge results with flow or a slight improvement by going a longer distance with 1"pvc

Thanks mike

If your are reducing right off of the pump you are likely loosing 40% of your flow due to head pressure. Make sure when plumbing where ever the closest output which would be your 120 you have a valve to restrict the flow to allow more flow to the other aquarium. Even by upgrading the plumbing the 10000 may not be enough flow depending on the total head pressure. But like I said if your reducing the output right off the pump you will sacrifice flow.
