The few pieces of paper that are in the box recommend 7 to 8 inches of water depth for the skimmer to be placed in. At that depth a stream a bubbles flood into the collection cup and over flow it even with the value being wide open. I have raised the skimmer now to about 5 inches of water, value wise open again, and still a steady stream if bubbles and water fill up the collection cup. It takes about 3 mins for the collection cup to be filled with water.

Verify you have everything connected correctly. Then turn the adjusting pipe down to about 1-2 to start with. The smallest adjustment up makes a huge difference. I just installed my 110sss in 7” of water with adjusting pipe at about 1-1/2 and foam just reaches into the collection cup.
