I bought a used BH-1000 and it has been working perfectly for about 3 months. Very quiet, producing good skimmate, etc. About a week ago it started to make a loud gurgling sound. If I put my finger over the air hose the noise stops. I took it off the tank and gave it a good cleaning and it didn't help. It still seems to be working fine, just very loud. Any suggestions?

Take the pump apart and see if something is jamming the impeller? Also, check the shaft and make sure that it is still in one piece. It may have broken.
