Hello,

I am in the midst of setting up a ADA 60-P (approx. 24"x12"x14") and I am researching my lighting options. First off, my plan is to use this tank for a freshwater planted aquarium, however, I do believe that I will eventually convert over to a nano reef tank. That being said, the Mazarra P and X seem like good candidates for me due to the flexibility to change the LEDs (for freshwater and marine environments). I have done my research, but I do not see where I can obtain more than the blue LED bulb chips (from Drsfosterandsmith.com). Could you tell me where I could find these other chips? Also, I am unable to find the Mazarra X series light. If this lighting system is significantly cheaper and would fit my needs than I would likely go this route. Basically, I will be using only one light so the master/slave setup is not relevant for me. What are the other differences?

Thanks in advance. I look forward to becoming a Maxspect customer in the future.

Regards,

Peter,

Take a look at the 8000K Razor's layout, I would recommend something like this:

See the R420r A8000 layout

I have 3 Razor R420R 16k 27". Bought them 1.5 yr ago. I want to know if the 2 fans that comes with the fixture runs separately? Bc I usually only see one of the 2 fans runs.

2nd question. On 1 of the fixture's, 2 led lights are bad. They stop lighting up months ago. Is it still under warranty?

Let me know pl by email or cell 973-462-1697

The Maxspect Razor has a one year warranty from date of purchase.

Fan test:

To do a fan test on the Razor:

1. Turn the switch on the power supply to the off position.
2. Press and hold the control knob while turning the switch on the power supply to the on position.
3. The LED screen will say “Fan Test” and turn the fans on.

This will put the Razor into fan test mode and the LCD screen with indicated this mode. Please keep my updated on your progress.

Please send a photo of the failed LEDs:

Please let me know if you are willing to open up the Razor, remove the lens cover and take photos of all three LED boards.

Razor service manual attached.
