New gyre 150 shocking water

Hello, I purchased my gyre last month from an LFS over an hour away. I am unable to find my receipt from the transaction and the max spec gyre is shocking the tank water. I found this out as I tried to put a small amount of food under the water and was met with a near electric fence shock. Through the process of elimination I was able to pin it to the gyre. Up until this point it's been working great. Please help
