Hi, I am in the process of setting up a 300 gallon tank. I saw the youtube videos of the new Gyre 200 series and they looked amazing. However, I am worried that the 250 will not be able to send the wave across an 8' long tank and still be able to circle back from the bottom. My idea is to have one gyre 250 on each end and rotate the on/off to create enough flow for a LPS dominant tank. Please let me know if the 250 is strong enough or I should consider the 280.

I would recommend using the 280 as you can always back it down. If the 250 is not enough, you cannot make it go faster but if the 280 is too much, you can always slow it down.
