This might be a dumb question but here it is. The air valve and silencer. I just received my bh2000 yesterday and have not yet put it together but was looking at the parts and some videos. On the coralvue video he tells you to just put on the silencer, nothing about the air valve. But in other YouTube videos I have watched they are using just the air valve. So what would be the best to use? Or do you use one or the other after the break in period is over?

The air valve is there to prime the skimmer. In the CoralVue video we show you just to bend the line which accomplishes the same thing. Once you have the skimmer primed, you don't need the valve anymore.
