I was wondering what would be the best mode to provide random flow for SPS. I have a 48x30x24 tank and one gyre on the side. Thanks!

The gyre is built to create a gyre effect on your tank and not a random flow. You can run the gyre in Alternating Gyre Mode to create a change of currents during timed intervals. If you use multiple gyres, then you can definitely set them to pulse so that it will create random flow patterns but you must remember that the pump was built to create a gyre effect as it is in nature and not just random flows within the tank.
