New Ethereal lights won't update to v1.6 or connect to ICV6 controller

New install of 3 Ethereal Lights & an ICV6 controller.
Syna G installed, ICV6 firmware updated to v1.7, ICV6 & phone connected to home WiFi.
I cannot add any of the Ethereal lights to the ICV6.
When I try to add them, they try to update their firmware to v1.6.
The update never gets past 30% before it fails for any of the 3 lights.
Phone, ICV6 controller & Ethereal light are within 6" of each other.
Router is about 20 ft away, but no other device in the house have any problems & router says ICV6 is connected.
Have tried resetting ICV6 (hold power button until red indicator lights)
Have tried resetting Ethereal lights (press button while powering on release when red/green blinking & press again for 5 seconds)
Anything else to try?
