Hello. I have been using the 27in MaxSpect Razors 10K on my 180 gal reef tank and after 9 months of use and switching from 5 160 watt vho's, I have apparently fried most of my soft coral and my tank is almost dead...HELP!
I am using the legs that were supplied so the lights are about 9 inches above the water. I ramped up the light intensities slowly over a period of 2 months but still damage to the coral. What level do you recommend on the Program mode and for what intervals of time? I am now considering the 120 degree light reflectors. How many would I need to use since each fixture has 3 light groupings? What difference would there be in terms of coloration, penetration and light intensity? Thanks and can I purchase these directly from you?

Alan,

The Razor 120 reflectors help with coverage and blending the light. For the 160W (27") you would require 3 reflectors. Sorry, but there is no recommended program since every aquarium has different needs and there are too many variables. The few customers that have had similar problems such as yourself have benefited greatly by switching to the reflectors.
