Reef Octopus 3500

I am interested in the Reef Octopus Diablo 3500 pump. I am a mechanical engineer working on a medical device project to setup small test tanks, so this is a non-aquarium application. Can you confirm whether or not this pump can handle some particulate matter up to about 1/4inch in diameter? Can you send information on the screw threads for the input and output to the pump. Please send any information that you can. Also, if you carry any similar pumps with variable flow control, external, and can handle particulate matter, please send specs and pricing to review.
