I recently swapped out an old skimmer for the regal 150sss with an RODC 2500s pump, but stupidly didn't realize until well after the fact that I should have gotten the new model with the varioS controller for Apex compatibility online, not the older one from the LFS shelf. It works fine, but I'm an Apex junkie.
Can I replace the old controller with a new varioS one directly? Presumably the 2S model? I can't tell from the product page whether the pump connector on the new controllers is the same as on the older ones. For that matter, it also looks like the power connector on the new controller may be different. Would I need different connectors etc? Thanks…

All you will need is to swap the RODC controller to the VarioS controller and you will be able to control the pump via 0-10v. The only other thing you will need is the connection cable found here: http://www.coralvue.com/icecap-y-module-cable. This will allow you to control two items off of one 0-10V port on the Apex.
