I bought this skimmer unopened brand new on Ebay and it has worked for the past four weeks, and now all of a sudden, I cannot adjust the bubbles down from overflowing into the collection cup. It's overflowing too fast and constant. There are no leaks and no obstructions and it appears from the outside of the needle wheel motor that it is in working order. I need help please.

Any hand cream or something that could have been introduced to the tank that would make the skimmer produce too many bubbles?
Please run fresh carbon for a couple of days to remove whatever was introduced to the water column that is making the skimmer go crazy. Once that unknown is removed, the skimmer will go back to normal.
