I have a tank that is 55 gallons and I am going to set up my sump for my 55 gallon tank. I want to know which protein skimmer would you recommend for my 55 gallon tank?

Will this tank be a reef tank? Do you want only external options or are you ok with in-sump or space saver? The more information you can give me, the better I will be able to offer you skimmer suggestions.

My tank has 4 fish. They are 2 damsels and 2 tomato clown fish.I also have turbo snails and blue leg hermit crabs. It also has rocks in it and its a saltwater tank. I want to know what kind of sump is good for my 55gal. Tank. It can be any sump but that is good for my tank

Depending on the size of your cabinet, we have the following sumps available...
Our cabinet has plenty of space to put the skimmer in the cabinet but thank you for your options

Is external better than internal or are they both the same

In a small tank setting like yours, they are both the same. As you get into larger systems, usually external skimmers are much better than internals but again, in your case with a small system, both internal and external are the same.

I would go with the RODC3500 or RODC5500 water pumps. Both pumps are DC pumps so you can lower the speed if you need to.
