I have a reef octopus skimmer that I'm pretty sure is missing parts. The pump works fine and creates bubbles but the issue is with the amount of back pressure. It doesn't have a tube or a gate valve. I'm attaching a picture, can anyone tell me what I need? I can't even find this model on the internet. I think it's an old version of a nwb-150 possibly because it uses the otp-2000 pump.

It is an old NWB skimmer. It had a stand pipe which was just a pipe that would go over the pipe on the output and you would raise and lower that pipe to increase or decrease the water level. Do you have a grey pipe likely 40mm wide in size that was included with the sale of the skimmer?

All I can measure it with is a inch ruler. I'm getting 1.5 to 1.5625 inches. After converting I'm getting 38.1 to 39.687 mm. So i'm guessing I'm needing the 40 mm, just don't know what length. Then once I get it, it just slides over the pipe and I raise and lower it to adjust it?

Let me check into it. It may be a different pipe all together. I may have to ask the manufacturer and special order the part.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but right above the black sponge you can see a white thing. That's a rubber gasket or some kind that would probably make the 40 mm fit snugly. Thanks for the help and let me know what you find out.

It does not look like we have the part. As I look at old photos it was a different colored PVC tube. I sent an email to the manufacturer about it but have yet to get a response.
