I have 2 corner overflows and not enough room to mount a gyre horizontal. Could I mount the gyre vertical with the dry side magnet in the overflow ? Is the dry side sealed so it wont rust ?

It is sealed but not waterproof, you risk the magnet rusting if you mount the dry magnet in the overflow.
