I'm wondering whether it is worth putting a small electric near the transformer to take the pressure off the internal fan on this light. I also find it kind of loud and this would address that problem as well. Any thoughts about long term damage or benefits. Thanks, Eric

Sorry. It's a Maxspect R424R 300 Watt and I'm talking about the transformer fan. It labors hard and is a bit loud so I'm thinking of using an external 3" fan to cool and quiet it. Any problems in doing this?
