Hi, i have had this skimmer for about a month yet and have yet to be able to adjust it right. When i say right, i mean i would like to empty the cup twice a week.

The directions i got were not very good (i may be retarted, although i can read a set of plans and build a Marriot).

First, what is the proper height for the water in the sump? I read a review on Amazon by someone who was commenting on the lame directions and he said 6-10 inches. If that is the case, the water outlet is under water, is this ok?

Somewhere else i read 5.5-6 inches. This makes more sence because then the outlet is not out of the water, but then who wants there sump with so little water in it.

Anyway, i just added some new filter media to the systme and the skimmer went nuts.

Please help.

What model skimmer do you have? The AC20284 is not a number of ours so I am not sure what skimmer you are referring to. Once I have the model number, I can give you the exact water depth range the skimmer needs to be in.

Yes, that is an older version of our NWB-110 skimmer. The number on that was assigned by the shop that sold it to you, not by us.

The water depth range on that skimmer is 7-8" of water. It does not matter if the outflow valve is above or under water as long as the skimmer is in 7-8" of water.

The skimmer started overflowing the because the filter media changed the water tension. That should only be temporary.
