I took apart the gyre, then soaked it for about an hour in a mixture of vinegar and water ro clean it as I do with my other aquarium pumps. Once back together and placed in the aquarium, it wouldn't run. Completely dead. Controller shows it working as normal, though. I took it apart again and left just the pins in without the paddles. Still nothing. Any ideas?? Thanks, Terry

Please do the following:

Remove the cages and the propellers from the motor block until you are left with only the motor block and the exposed shaft. Then go ahead and power up the pump and see if the shaft spins. The motor should run for about 10 seconds and then shut off as the controller detects the lack of water drag from the motor running without propellers. This is normal.

Does the motor run?
Does the shaft spin?
Is the pump completely dead?
Are the controller lights on?
Is the LED light on the power supply on?

I tried running it without the paddles. Nothing. I even took the magnet out and cleaned it as well as the empty cylinder. All looks completely normal, just doesn't start up. Worked completely fine before i cleaned it. No frayed wires or anything. All the parts are in good shape.
