hello I have 2 reef octo pumps that are stalling at times both the skimmer pump for the sro5000 and my return pump octo dy-5000. can they be rebuilt? repaired? what are my options with the expensive motors?

How old are the pumps? Have you tried soaking them in a water/vinegar bath for 24 hrs to remove any calcium buildup?
