I have a XF150 and want to incorporate a 200 series. Can I get an XF230 and hook my 150 into it? the XF250 with the 150 may be too much for my tank.

No, you cannot connect an XF230 pump to an XF250 controller.

Nope, it wont work. 230 controller will only accept XF230 and XF130 pumps.
